About Me
Merna Schumann is a Toronto based Illustrator deeply interested in folktales, mythology, and symbology as she is fascinated by their ability to unveil histories and shed light on universal experiences. Her work intricately weaves rich narratives with naturalistic elements such as botanicals and wildlife, juxtaposed against found objects, structural landscapes, and figures. Merna employs a range of mediums in her artistic practice, with gouache, graphite, and pencil crayon as her tools of choice.
